This workshop offers a clear and grounded exploration of movement through its fundamental principles. 

The focus is not on accumulating techniques, but on understanding how movement is generated and refined through awareness. 

Practice is approached as an inquiry—one that invites participants to observe relationships between intention, sensation, and action. 

Alongside the physical dimension, strong emphasis is placed on the internal aspects of practice: attention, perception, and presence. By cultivating a steady connection to the present moment, participants deepen their capacity to move with grace, openness, and connection.


The workshop is held within a rhythm that values both depth and spaciousness. Each morning offers four to five hours of focused practice, creating a grounded container for inquiry and shared experience. The afternoons and evenings remain open, allowing time to rest, wander, and meet the spirit of Santorini. 

Participants are invited to explore the island— its nature, its culture and its magic—while carrying the sensitivity of the practice into daily experience. In this way, the workshop becomes a gentle weaving of retreat and vacation: a conscious journey where learning continues through movement, presence, and experience.

Travel Information

For this workshop in beautiful Santorini, Greece, book your flights to Santorini (Thira) International Airport — airport code: JTR. This is the main airport serving the island and the most convenient arrival point for the workshop location.

If you are flying internationally, consider flights routing through major hubs such as Athens International Airport (ATH), where you can connect onward to Santorini (JTR). There are regular daily flights and, depending on the season, several options for same-day connections.


Getting Around the Island

Car Rental: Renting a car gives you the greatest freedom to explore Santorini’s stunning viewpoints, beaches, villages, and historic sites at your own pace. Cars and smaller vehicles like ATVs/scooters are available directly at the JTR airport.

Public Bus: If you prefer not to rent a car or scooter, don’t worry! Santorini’s public bus system connects most of the major towns and sights on the island, including Fira, Oia, and the beaches — a convenient and budget-friendly alternative.

Taxis & Transfers: Taxis are available at the airport, and private transfers can be arranged in advance if desired

Hristina


Hristina has been walking a devoted path of embodied practice for over a decade. For the past six years, she has trained under the guidance of Shifu Zuan, cultivating both the physical skills of TaiJi and a lived understanding of its underlying principles.

Before TaiJi, Hristina spent eight years teaching and practicing yoga, traveling internationally and studying with diverse teachers.

Along the way, she deepened her knowledge of meditation, mindfulness, bodywork, massage therapies, and functional anatomy.

Her teaching is rooted in presence, curiosity, and respect for the body as a living system—where movement, awareness, and inner cultivation meet.


Laoshi Jian


laoshi Jian


Laoshi Jian is a 36th-generation Shaolin disciple and a dedicated teacher at Shaolin Temple Europe in Otterberg, Germany; practicing under the direct guidance of its leading masters, Shifu Heng Yi and Shifu Zuan.

Laoshi Jian actively transmits the traditional teachings of Shaolin Kung Fu, Qi Gong, and TaiJi, guiding students in both physical discipline and inner cultivation.

 Parallel to this he practices Traditional Chinese Medicine bringing in a deep understanding of how body, mind,and spirit can be harmonised using the holistic approach transmitted by the ancestors of the Shaolin Arts and Tradition.
